The NHL playoffs have officially reached the Stanley Cup Final.
This series might look familiar, as the Florida Panthers look to defend their title by defeating the Edmonton Oilers for a second straight year.
Can Connor McDavid and the Oilers overcome Florida this season?
Will we have a new champion for the fifth time in five years?
Let's check out the Stanley Cup champion odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 16.

Playoff series: FLA leads 3-2
Panthers: -350 (bet $10 to win $12.86 total)

Game 6 odds

Edmonton won Game 1 of the Stanley Cup series after Leon Draisaitl scored a power-play goal with 31 seconds left in overtime. Draisaitl and the Oilers found the back of the net first at 1:06 into the first period, and then came back from 3-1 down to force OT.
In Game 2, it was double overtime, but this time, the Panthers emerged with the win via a Brad Marchand goal at the 8:05 mark of the second extra period.
With that, the Panthers became the favorites once again.
In Game 3, no extra time was needed, as the Panthers jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the second period before cruising to a 6-1 victory, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.
But in Game 4, even with Florida jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, things ended in overtime once again, as Edmonton stormed back to take a 4-3 before winning 5-4 in OT.
Talk about a back and forth series.
The Panthers took a commanding 5-2 Game 5 win after Marchand added another two goals — giving him a series-leading six goals — the most by any player in a Stanley Cup Final since 1988. Florida is one win away from bringing home the trophy once again.
While Florida has been to the last three Stanley Cups, and won last season, the last time the Oilers took home the trophy was in 1990.
It has been over 30 years since a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup.
A different franchise has won the Stanley Cup in each of the past four years. The Lightning were the last team to repeat, winning it in 2020 and 2021.
Prior to that, the Penguins won it back to back in 2016 and 2017, and before that, the last team to win consecutive titles was the Red Wings in 1997 and 1998.
Of the last 10 NHL champions, six have been from the Eastern Conference and four have been from the West.
