Sierra Brooks

mandatory evacuation
order, with the
Bear Fire
rapidly spreading in the
Tahoe National Forest

Sierra County Sheriff's Office
. Initially reported at 30 to 40 acres in the afternoon, the fire has now grown to approximately 64 acres by 4:23 pm, according to the
US Forest Service

However, Cal Fire later reported that the fire had expanded further, burning nearly 200 acres in the Sierra Brooks area, CBS reported.
The evacuation order is specifically for the west side of Sierra Brooks, targeting zone SIE-E031 due to the immediate threat posed by the advancing flames. Residents in the affected area are being urged to evacuate without delay to ensure their safety.
