The festive season has taken a new turn as a vehicle adorned with Christmas illuminations but caught unwanted police attention.
The
Wyoming Highway Patrol
shared an Instagram image featuring a Ford Mustang decorated with colourful Christmas bulbs.
"As the holiday season approaches, we would like to remind you of a Wyoming statue [sic]," the post reads, "no person shall drive or move any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with a lamp or device theron capable of displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front of center or thereof."
The law specifically permits white Christmas lights on vehicles, as they are not explicitly prohibited.
Law enforcement cautioned that whilst festive vehicle decorations might appear attractive, they remain unlawful and could pose a hazardous distraction to other drivers.
The consequences faced by the driver of the illuminated Mustang remain undisclosed. But this is not the only car that has been illuminated with Christmas lights.
