Did Donald Trump Jr say his father's cabinet won't have people smarter than President?

Donald Trump Jr made his first comment about his father's cabinet.

A claim is viral on X that Donald Trump's son

Donald Trump Jr

claimed his father's cabinet will not have any people smarter than his father. Don Jr played a crucial role in his father's campaign this time and it was his pitch that Donald Trump considered his friend JD Vance as a running mate, made him the running mate and now the vice president-elect.
Don Jr is part of the transition team as Donald Trump is now preparing for his second term in the White House. Some obvious names are Tesla CEO Elon Musk for department of government efficiency which will be set up as Musk himself claimed many times and Trump promised the Musk would be part of the administration. Another key player is RFK Jr who quit his independent presidential race and endorsed Donald Trump. Trump hinted that RFK Jr, a health crusader, will be given health and environment-related roles. And then there is Tulsi Gabbard.

But did Donald Trump Jr say that only people who are not smarter than his father will be in the cabinet? In an interview with Fox and Friends, he said, "I wanna make sure now that we know who the real players are, the people who will actually deliver on the president's message, the people who don't think that they know better than the duly elected president of the United States, I wanna make sure those people are in his cabinet. I wanna make sure that those people are in his administration."

'I would like to pre-endorse Kamal Harris for 2028'
Donald Trump Jr said he would like to pre-endorse Kamala Harris for 2028. "I would love to to pre-endorse Kamala Harris for 2028. I would love for any Republican in the future to be able to run against her. The Democrats made such a glaring mistake bringing her in. They ignored their own people...Don't forget, she ran in a Democrat primary in 2020 and got less than 1% of the vote. So I think even their people understood that she was a terrible candidate. So I welcome any future presidential run from Kamala Harris with open arms," Donald Trump Jr said.
