Donald Trump got distracted by a fly on stage and what he said thereafter was incomprehensible.
Donald Trump created a bizarre moment on stage at Wisconsin as he saw a fly on stage and said to years ago he never had a fly up there. "Oh there's a fly. I wonder where the fly came from," Donald Trump said as he got distracted by the buzzing fly. "Kamala," someone said from the audience. "See, two years ago, I wouldn't have had a fly up here. You're changing stupidly.
We can't take it any longer," Trump said. As the video went viral, social media users, commentators wondered what Trump was talking about and whether his comment had a link to immigration as he was talking about immigration before getting distracted by the fly-- whether he used the 'fly' as a metaphor for immigrants.
Some social media users also remembered how a fly is always there in the presidential election -- in 2020, a fly landed on Mike Pence's head during the vice-presidential debate against Kamala Harris.
MSNBC host and legal analyst Katie Phang said Trump's reaction to the fly was not normal. "Trump is exhausted and struggling to stay on track. He begins a story about a hat, but gets distracted by a fly and never finishes. He starts a entirely new story and struggles with the word "unique"," X handle American Bridge 21st Century posted.
One X post said flies are attracted to s**t and hence it was not surprising that the fly was buzzing around Donald Trump.
"Everyone's saying that Donald Trump is an idiot and is not fit for office but HOW MANY PEOPLE could ALMOST seamlessly pivot from a story about a hat to talking about a fly and managing to turn that into a story about the decline of the USA?" one post read.
"Donald Trump sounds especially unhinged today, interrupting his speech because of a fly. He’s going crazy. This is not someone that can be trusted with power," another post read.
