Donald Trump says he won't go to Bedminster at his golf club amid mystery drones doing rounds over New Jersey.
President-elect Donald Trump in his press conference Monday said the military and the government clearly know exactly what is happening with the
mystery drones over New Jersey
. "The government knows what's happening. Our military knows where they took off from. If it's a garage, they can go right into that garage. They know where it came from and where it went," he said.
"For some reason, they don't want to comment. And I think they'd be better off saying what it is. Our military knows and our president knows. And for some reason, they want to keep people in suspense. I can't imagine it's the enemy because if it was the enemy they'd blast it out even if they were late. Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don't want to tell the people," Trump said.
"It's happening over Bedminster. Maybe I won't spend the weekend in Bedminster. I have decided to cancel my trip," Trump said.
Trump earlier called for shooting drones down
As the mystery sightings continue with no clarity from the government apart from dismissing any threat, Trump earlier called for shooting them down. "Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government's knowledge. I don think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shot them down!!! DJT," Trump earlier posted on Truth Social.
Drones sighted near Trump golf course
Trump's cancellation of his weekend plan in Bedminster during the press conference seemed impromptu but drones have been sighted over the Trump golf course in New Jersey apart from the New Jersey military site. Trump survived two assassination attempts this year -- one in Pennsylvania and the second in Florida.
