The Cybertruck, known for its unique design, first appeared while escorting Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, along with a Mercedes-AMG G63.
The Dubai Police shared pictures of the Cybertruck in their green and white colors on social media.
The Dubai Police announced on their official X account, formerly known as Twitter, that they have added the Tesla Cybertruck to their tourist police patrol fleet. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, responded to the post with a brief “Cool” and a sunglasses emoji.
This addition fulfills a commitment made by the Dubai Police in 2019 when Tesla first introduced the Cybertruck. They had previously shared an image of the truck in police colors and planned to add it by 2020.
The Tesla Cybertruck has a stainless steel body and bulletproof windows. It includes air suspension and comes in three models: a single motor rear-wheel-drive, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive with over 750 km range, and a tri-motor version that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds with a 700 km range. The truck can carry up to 1,133 kg, tow up to 5,000 kg, and has a ground clearance of 406 mm.
The Cybertruck’s price in the US ranges from Rs 48 lakh to Rs 81 lakh, as per Tesla’s website. Previously, the Dubai Police added the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 to their fleet, reflecting their aim to include more environmentally friendly vehicles.
