Families can get support with the cost of school uniform and equipment
Families can get up to £150 help for each child's back to school costs with a government bonus, the Minister for Social Security said.
The money was aimed at helping to pay for uniforms, shoes, stationery and other back to school essentials for children from reception to Year 11.
Eligible households would receive £100 for each primary school child and £150 for each secondary school child during the summer holiday in a lump sum per household.
The means-tested bonus was open to families with a combined income of up to £75,000 in 2025 and automatic payments would be made to households receiving Income Support.
Other families could apply through an application form, the government said.
The Minister for Social Security, Deputy Lyndsay Feltham said: "I recognise the cost-of-living pressures many households are facing and it's important that we help where we can to ease any financial stress on families by ensuring children across the Island have the essentials they need for the new school year."
Details on how to apply will be announced during the summer school term.
