Adam Kinzinger calls Elon Musk President; 'Vice President Trump kind of...'

Speaking on the row over bipartisan spending bill, Adam Kinzinger called Elon Musk the 'president' and Donald Trump the 'vice president'

Appearing on a CNN panel to talk about the Republicans' massive push against the

spending bill

, former GOP rep

Adam Kinzinger

called Elon Musk the President and Donald Trump the Vice President and also thanked God that he's not in Congress any more. "President Musk, this morning, made it clear with all his vast government experience which is basically he became rich on the federal government that he doesn't want Republicans to pass this bill. And seemingly

vice president Trump

kind of backed him up on that point," Kinzinger said.
"And what it says about the politics is that this is going to be a messy four years," the former rep said. "Good luck for the next four years."
The MAGA camp called it the meltdown of "crybaby Kinzinger" on CNN.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy -- the two-co-chiefs of the Department of Government Efficiency -- urged Congress members to not pass the bipartisan spending bill negotiated by Speaker Mike Johnson. Ramaswamy said he read the lengthy 1,500-page bill and it would blow taxpayers' hard-earned money.

After Elon Musk and Ramaswamy's resistance, President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance issued a statement slamming the bill and calling for a "streamlined" spending stopgap.

“Increasing the debt ceiling is not great but we’d rather do it on Biden’s watch. If Democrats won’t cooperate on the debt ceiling now, what makes anyone think they would do it in June during our administration?” the two said in a statement. “Let’s have this debate now. And we should pass a streamlined spending bill that doesn’t give Chuck Schumer and the Democrats everything they want.”
“Republicans want to support our farmers, pay for disaster relief, and set our country up for success in 2025. The only way to do that is with a temporary funding bill WITHOUT DEMOCRAT GIVEAWAYS combined with an increase in the debt ceiling. Anything else is a betrayal of our country," it said.

Billionaires want to shut the govt; Ramaswamy replies to allegation

Connecticut senator Chris Murphy said it's only the billionaires like Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and Donald Trump who want to shut down the government for Christmas because they still get paid. "It's our troops, TSA agents and other federal workers who won't get paid., It's their kids who will suffer this Christmas," Murphy posted on X.

Ramaswamy pointed out that in the bill senators too will get a salary hike and slammed Murphy for using the troops as a "smokescreen".
"The failed CR billed tried to sneak in salary increases & health benefits for Congressmen & Senators, while they were blowing hard-earned taxpayer $$ on special interests. We can disagree on policy @ChrisMurphyCT, but don’t use our troops as a smokescreen for your own salary hike," Ramaswamy replied.
