Kanye West has sparked controversy after posting a series of antisemitic and provocative statements across social media platforms. He openly expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler, continued with racist rhetoric, and accused Elon Musk of stealing his "Nazi swag."
"IM A NAZI," he posted on X. This was followed by another statement,"I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT B*****." He additionally posted, "Hitler was sooooo fresh."
These statements triggered immediate and widespread criticism from various public personalities, celebrities, and supporters. People expressed their dismay at West's return to hate speech, particularly after his previous apologies for similar behaviour.
In December 2023, West had attempted to save his reputation issuing an apology. "I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused," he said.
West directed accusations towards billionaire Elon Musk, suggesting that Musk had appropriated Nazi imagery during former President Donald Trump's inauguration rally. "Elon stole my Nazi swag at the inauguration yoooo my guy get your own third rale," West said in a post that was later removed.
