Priscilla Wong and Bradley Standfield celebrate with friends and family on the steps of Old Marylebone Town Hall. The couple are from Australia and have been living in London for five years.

One hundred couples have tied the knot, formed a civil partnership or renewed their vows at one of England's most popular wedding venues - all in one day.

Old Marylebone Town Hall in central London hosted back-to-back ceremonies on Tuesday to celebrate its 100th birthday.

Many celebrity weddings have taken place at the venue, including those of Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, and Liam Gallagher.

Here are a selection of those couples who shared their special day.

The first wedding of the day was between Shona Mitchell and Kenny Price. The couple met on an app six years ago.

Georgina Russell met Oliver Jacques a month before the first lockdown in 2020. "It was my first Hinge date, and now I am marrying the woman!", said Oliver.

After 36 years together, Andy Lambert and Mel Fawcus chose to get married now because it's "an iconic thing to happen". Wearing matching tartan, they headed for a celebratory lunch in Covent Garden.

Ian Elliot married Paula Diaz, and after the ceremony said: "I've been meaning to do this for a long time, it's a great opportunity in a great place in an iconic venue."

The BBC's very own Thomas Mackintosh married Paige Evans while reporting on his own wedding.

Newly married Jack and Katie Webster were greeted by smiles and confetti as they walked down the steps.

Daisy McDonnell and Dan McKinley met on their first day at University of Liverpool in 2016. Marvin (their dog), Daisy and Dan "come as a package deal", the couple told the BBC - and an impeccably behaved Marvin soaked in the attention from reporters and registrars alike.

"Everyone here made it less scary," said bride Daniela. Her new husband Ean Reiner works at Westminster City Council, and when he heard about the town hall's plans the couple made the decision to get hitched. "We walked straight in," he said. "In and out, bish bash bosh."

Christopher Hohls and Madeleine Crean from Notting Hill said it felt "surreal" to tie the knot alongside 99 other couples. The pair met on a dating app seven years ago. "Seven year itch, we got hitched," said Madeleine.
