New York Democrat
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
recently blasted Green Party presidential candidate
Jill Stein
saying that if her Green Party has still not grown even after Jill Stein has been running for so many years, it's jus predatory and bad leadership. Dr Jill Stein is the Green Party's nominee for the the presidential election like she has been in 2012 and 2016 as well.
AOC
came on an Instagram live and replied to a question: "How do I tell my friends who are Jill Stein voters they are wasting their time and effort?" "You all this is a little spicy. But I have thoughts and I feel like I should say this in live. I am not coming for people who are thinking about this. What I have a problem with is you are the defacto leader of your party...if you run for years and years and years in a row, and your party has not grown, has not added city council seats, down ballot seats and state electives, that's bad leadership. And that to me is what's upsetting," AOC said.
"If you have been your party's nominee for 12 years in a row...and you can not grow your movement pretty much at all and can't pursue any successful strategy and all you do is show up once every four years to speak to people who are justifiably pissed off, you are not serious. It's to me not authentic, it's just predatory," AOC said.
Jill Stein gave it back to AOC and said what seriously predatory is candidates pretending to work for a ceasefire and actually funding genocide -- at a dig at the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration. "What's seriously predatory is pretending your candidate is “working tirelessly for a ceasefire” when in reality they’re actively arming and funding genocide," Jill Stein added. The attack came as six hostages including one American were found dead in Gaza -- as US has been working on the hostage deal.
Jill Stein will be on the ballot in Arizona, California, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, West Virginia among others. In some states, Green Party is on the ballot.
AOC said she is not against third parties and endorse third-party candidates even against Democrats but Jill Stein is just predatory.
Jill Stein's running mate is a Muslim-convert, a historian of West African Studies and Islam at UC Santa Barbara Dr Butch Ware.
