The White House on Tuesday shared a video in which press secretary
Karoline Leavitt
outlined American President Donald Trump’s key decisions in just 95 seconds. The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter), was captioned, "Promises made, promises kept:In just 2 weeks, President Trump is delivering huge wins—securing our border, restoring law & order, unleashing energy, and more."
Key actions on border, economy, and government policies
Leavitt began by saying, "We are two weeks in and President Trump is already delivering big wins for the American people. Let's go through the facts." She detailed steps taken on border security, including declaring a national emergency, deploying the military, ending catch and release, and bringing back the “Remain in Mexico” policy.
She said that illegal crossings into the United States have dropped by 95 per cent, border wall construction has resumed, and Colombia's president has offered a government plane to help with deportations.
On economic and energy policies, Leavitt said Trump had declared a national energy emergency, removed Joe Biden’s electric vehicle mandate, and promoted American energy. She also pointed out that AI investments had reached $500 billion, $20 billion was flowing into US data centers, and Wall Street was performing strongly.
Leavitt further mentioned that Trump had signed over 45 executive orders, eliminated DEI policies from the government and military, required federal workers to return to offices, taken more press questions than Biden, reinstated 440 journalists, and ended government censorship.
Concluding the video, she said, “Promises made, promises kept. We are just getting started.”
