Kate Middleton

participated in the Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, marking her latest public appearance since undergoing preventive cancer treatment.
The Princess of Wales wore a black dress adorned with a red poppy, a symbol honoring those who lost their lives in conflicts. She was joined by her husband,

Prince William

, and other royal family members. King Charles arrived shortly after, as his wife,

Queen Camilla

, is recovering from a chest infection and was unable to attend.
In September, the 42-year-old princess announced the completion of her chemotherapy, noting that her path to full recovery would be lengthy. She said at the time, “I have finished chemotherapy, but the road to full recovery will be long.” She committed to attending a limited number of public engagements later in the year.

Kate’s previous public appearance was in October, when she met with families of three young girls who tragically died in a dance class in northwest England.
Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that Princess Kate is also expected to attend Sunday’s main Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial. This ceremony, held on the Sunday closest to November 11, commemorates the end of World War One and honors all lives lost in conflict.
Queen Camilla, currently following doctor’s advice to rest, will observe Remembrance Day privately at home and aims to resume public duties early next week, according to the palace.
