A man has died after he was involved in a two-car crash on a country road in Fife.
The 87-year-old was driving a red Dacia Sandero which collided with a blue Vauxhall Astra at about 10:40 on Saturday on the A92 north of Rathillet.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he later died.
His passenger, an 88-year-old woman, and the occupants of the Astra - a 32-year-old man and two children, age seven and 13 - were also taken to hospital.
The road was closed for investigations but reopened at about 15:00.
Police inquiries continue and the force has urged any witness or drivers who may have dashcam footage from the area to contact them.
