NBA star Dwight Howard relists his 12-bedroom Georgia mansion for $14.5 million

Eight-time All-Star centre Dwight Howard recently put his Georgia estate back on the market with a $3.25 million increase from last year. The retired NBA star hiked the asking price to $11.25 million, making it the most expensive home for sale in the suburb, according to a report by Mansion Global.

Now, its price is $14.5 million.The house, located in Suwanee, was first listed in January 2025, but then taken off the market last September. The 40-year-old athlete has owned the property since 2016, when he bought it for $8.8 million, as per records shown by PropertyShark. At the time, he was working with his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks, despite having worked with the Orlando Magic during most of his 18-season career.

A decade later, the eight-time NBA All-Star is hoping to score a sizable profit on the property, with his latest asking price coming in $5.7 million above what he originally paid for the spread.In terms of his abode, the more than 26,000 square feet megamansion stands on about 14 acres. Built in 2010, the home's design is "European-inspired" with a brick facade, grand portico entrance and gazebos on either corner of the front porch, according to the listing with Maninga Capehart and Jennifer Houston of HomeSmart.

The listing touts the property as one of Georgia's "most distinguished private estates," pointing to its impressive scale, elaborate architecture, and lengthy list of resort-worthy amenities.

A celebrity home

Double front doors open to reveal a foyer adorned with moulding and a staircase. Beyond, there's a formal dining room and a living room with wood panelling, both featuring a fireplace, along with a skylit family room and two kitchens.

The home has 12 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and nine half bathrooms, including a main-level primary suite with an office, boutique-style dressing rooms, and a bathroom with a sunken soaking tub and a steam shower.

Other bedrooms include a private, multi-room suite with its own kitchen and two bathrooms and a lower-level suite with its own sitting area, laundry, sauna and salon/barber area, according to the listing.In addition to the main chef's kitchen, which is fitted with Viking appliances, there is a separate catering kitchen, a hidden pantry, a walk-in butler's pantry, multiple bars, and several service areas.Other amenities include an elevator, a theatre with a kitchenette, a billiards lounge, another full kitchen and a "podcast space." There's even a salon and barber area, sauna, and additional bedroom suite on the same level.Outside, there is a pool with a diving board overlooked by a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a basketball court and a two-story fitness and recreation pavilion. The orchards around the house grow blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and figs. Listing photos show artwork throughout the home that depicts the basketball player, including a Lego bust of Howard that Ellen DeGeneres gifted to him.Car enthusiasts, interestingly, have an enormous amount of space to house their collections.

Although the property's main details advertise a six-car garage, the full listing reveals additional vehicle storage, including a six-car motor court and another six-car lower-level garage.The garage areas also conceal much more than parking.
