Police have cordoned off part of Easton Way - a busy route in Bristol - and some of Rawnsley Park and Rawnsley House.
Easton Way is currently cordoned off at the junction with Stapleton Road.
Forensic teams have been seen searching the park and motorists are being diverted.
Avon and Somerset Police said an update would be issued later.
