Emergency services have been called out after a light aircraft crashed into a field in Fife.
The incident happened just before 11:40 in an area near Kinglassie.
Special rescue units have been deployed by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland are also at the scene.
It is unknown at this stage if there are any casualties or people injured.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Emergency services are in attendance near Fife Airport after a light aircraft crashed at 11:40 on Monday 23 December. Inquiries are ongoing."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were alerted at 11:38 on Monday 23 December to an incident involving a light aircraft near Kinglassie, Fife.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the scene to assist emergency services partners.
"Crews remain in attendance."
