A large police cordon is in place at Hyde Park Corner in central London after a serious road collision.

Grosvenor Place, a major dual carriageway linking Hyde Park Corner with Victoria along the perimeter of Buckingham Palace, remained closed at 19:00 BST on Saturday.

About 10 police vehicles were in attendance, with a Lime bike, cement lorry, two cars and a moped parked within the cordon.

Transport for London's (TfL) website reports delays on surrounding central London roads.

TfL has warned of serious delays along central London routes due to the collision

A police officer at the scene of the crash told the BBC a bike and lorry were involved, with the cyclist in a "serious" condition in hospital.

The Met Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.

In a travel update on Saturday evening, TfL advised drivers to use an alternative route due to delays caused by a collision at Grosvenor Place at the junction of Duke of Wellington Place.

Affected areas included Hyde Park Corner, with southbound delays on Park Lane to Upper Grosvenor Street.

Old Brompton Road eastbound to Yeomans Row and Grosvenor Place northbound to Lower Grosvenor Place, as well as Lower Grosvenor Place and Buckingham Palace Road to Eccleston Street were also impacted by delays.
