Police say they are continuing inquiries after the unexplained death of a three-month-old girl in a woodland in Staffordshire.
Emergency services were called to land off Strawberry Lane, near Cheslyn Hay, at 08:45 BST on Saturday, to a report of a child in cardiac arrest.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene, but the child was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later, Staffordshire Police said.
"While the investigation remains at an early stage, this is an isolated incident and we understand that the child's family was camping in the area," Det Insp Katie Gregory said. "The death is being treated as unexplained at this time."
A police cordon remained in place in the woodland on Sunday, and officers remained in the area to as they carried out inquiries, as well as to provide reassurance.
