Just hours ahead of Prince Harry's UK event, William released an Instagram post
All eyes are on Prince Harry as he returns to the UK alone to attend a charity event but will not meet anyone from the Royal family -- amid reports that he wants a low key entry to the family. His former bodyguard who was also the bodyguard of Princess Diana, Ken Wharfe, said Prince Harry is like his mother to a great extent. Like Diana, Prince Harry is also an entertainer and he was like this since childhood.
"Harry was always the court jester as a child," Wharfe said adding that Diana also liked to be entertained. "People will say he’s actually very fun to be with, he’s very good in meetings, he’s always mindful and careful of how he speaks to his staff, which was a classic Diana," Wharfe said.
"She was very generous, she was a gift giver, Harry is exactly the same. I do see similarities," Wharfe spoke about Diana.
Before quitting royal duties, Harry was more popular that the Queen but now he has steadily become less popular among the British public since October 2019. At that time, Harry was liked by 71 per cent and disliked by 22 per cent of those polled but the latest poll conducted by Statista revealed that now Harry is liked by only 30 per cent and disliked by 60 per cent.
Wharfe said Harry's popularity was a reason why Prince William was always jealous of him. And it seems nothing has changed as hours before Prince Harry attended the UK charity event, William posted his monthly rewind on Instagram -- a move to overshadow his younger brother's presence in the UK.
William's friends, however, denied any link between his Instagram post and Harry's UK visit. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts typically release a “monthly rewind” as a recap of each month. However, they often do so on the first of the following month. For example, the August rewind was posted on Sept. 1 and the July rewind was posted on Aug. 1. But the September rewind was posted on September 30.
Prince William’s office declined to comment, though a friend of the prince’s told The Daily Beast: “It’s the end of the month and at the end of the month they do release the rewind. I’m sure the time of day they did it had nothing to do with Harry. But I think what is notable is that it shows how much they do on a monthly basis, and if that has been inadvertently highlighted it’s no bad thing.”
