With both prince Harry and prince William not flinching from the idea of attending the funeral of
princess Diana
's brother-in-law Lord Robert Fellowes, hopes of a possible reconciliation between the estranged brothers are running high. And now a report has claimed that Diana's family, the Spencers, has been behind the scene to orchestrate the joint appearance. The brothers did not talk and made every effort to avoid each other but the fact that they did not disagree to attend the event is enough hope.
Only Jane can bring them together
As the Spencers are working hard to get the brothers to reconcile, one insider told the Daily Beast both Harry and William adore Princess Diana's elder sister Jane, Robert's widow. They could not decline to attend the funeral out of their respect for Jane and if anyone mediate between the two, it will be Jane.
“Behind the scenes, the Spencers have been working hard to get the brothers to reconcile. They understand William’s hurt at Harry’s betrayal, but they also understand Harry’s position because of the way Diana was treated by the Windsors," an insider said.
Prince Harry flew from his home in the US to join the funeral at St Mary's Church in Snettisham, Norfolk. “It was wonderful that both princes were able to attend their uncle’s memorial service yesterday at St Mary’s Church," a church warden told BBC.
'Operation bring Harry in from the cold'
A DailyMail report said Prince Harry has sought advice from his former aides on plotting his return to the Royal Family from his exile in the US where he stays with his wife Meghan Markle. Harry and Meghan are not seeking a permanent return but a leeway to mend things. 'Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and is seeking counsel from his old friends and associates,' said a source. "He is clearly reaching out thinking, 'I need to do something different because what I'm doing is clearly not working'. In short, he is rethinking the way he operates," the source added.
