Remains found three years after Ben Nevis walker reported missing

Human remains have been discovered on Ben Nevis following the search for a walker who went missing three years ago.

Harvey Christian, from Cambridgeshire, was thought to have been on the mountain in January 2023.

Mountain rescue teams accompanied by the coastguard helicopter and a search and rescue dog team were involved in searches for the 42-year-old in challenging conditions.

Formal identification of the remains, which were found on Saturday, is yet to take place, but Police Scotland said his family had been informed.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

Christian was reported missing on 27 January, 2023.

His car, a black Vauxhall Crossland X, was later found parked in a layby in Glen Nevis.
