 'I love who I am'

Serena Williams said she does not judge anyone who bleaches their skin but she is not one of them.

As

Serena Williams

promoted her beauty line on a live, she shut down the speculations that she had been bleaching her skin to appear lighter and said she is a Black woman and she absolutely loves how see looks. Lightening the skin's natural color is "just not my thing", she said.
On the live, she was doing a makeup tutorial for her Wyan Beauty where she spoke about her skin color. " “And then I put just that neutral color, that is actually my skin color, and no, for you haters out there, I do not bleach my skin.” She added that it's the sunlight that makes difference in colors. “There is a thing called sunlight,” she added, “And in that sunlight, you get different colors.”

“Yes, I’m calling you out on this because it is ridiculous.” She said that everybody said that she altered her skin color. She added that she is a Black woman and she loves who she is and how she looks.

Serena also came judgement-free about those who change their skin color to a light one but she was not interested in doing so, she asserted. “But that’s what this world is about, and I stay in my lane — the non-judgy one, and I keep it. But no, I actually don’t bleach my skin, so can we just kinda clear that up?”
The speculation started after a video of the retired tennis superstar went viral in which her skin looked different. She said she was wearing "stage makeup" as she was helping at her daughter's school play.
