was targeted for the second time in a month after shots were fired

Democratic Party

office in a Phoenix suburb. No injuries have been reported so far.
“We are grateful to

Tempe Police

for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured,” Arizona Democratic Party coordinated campaign manager Sean McEnerney said in a statement.

Multiple bullet damages were found at the Democratic National Committee campaign office near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive, following gunfire that occurred shortly after midnight on Monday, the Tempe Police told the New York Post.
“No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby,” public information officer Ryan Cook said.

This marks the second instance of criminal damage reported at the office in two weeks. Following midnight on September 16, the front windows were struck by what police believe was a BB or pellet gun. No arrests have been made in either case, and authorities are exploring all potential motives.
This comes amidst rising concerns from "foreign interference" in US presidential elections as warned by the States' intelligence unit."Foreign actors are increasing their election influence activities," a US statement said naming countries like China, Russia, Iran as "trying by some measure to exacerbate divisions in US society for their own benefit," AFP reported.
