on his desk to get it anytime he wanted. He was even known for having up to 12 cans of Diet Coke a day. Now ahead of his inauguration, he has received a special gift from Coca Cola -- a
Presidential Diet Coke bottle
which was presented to Trump by
Coca-Cola
chairman and CEO
James Quincey
. The bottle featured a special label that read: "The Inauguration of The President of the United States", and the date of the inauguration.
Trump's aide Margo Martin shared a photo showing Trump receiving the bottle from Quincey. "We're proud to continue our decades-long tradition of celebrating the U.S. presidential inauguration with a commemorative bottle," a note attached to the box read.
"Tonight, President Trump received the first-ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey," Martin wrote.
Elon Musk who is another noted fan of Diet Coke said the inventor of this beverage is a genius. "The inventor of Diet Coke is a genius."
Social media users reacted to this gesture of Coca-Cola as to how companies distanced themselves from Trump and now they are flocking to him. "No mainstream corporation would go near Donald Trump 4 years ago. Tonight the Chairman & CEO of Coca Cola gave Trump the first ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke. We are witnessing the greatest character arc in history. We are witnessing the greatest character arc in history," one wrote.
“Well, here’s another reason to drink water… or beer," Republicans Against Trump wrote.
"Coca-Cola CEO made the Mar-a-Lago a** kissing pilgrimage to give Trump a commemorative Inauguration Day Diet Coke bottle," one wrote.
