Police were called to the bus station at 13:10

Police have closed Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow after the bomb squad was sent out to reports of a suspicious package.

There is no access for passengers and no buses can enter or leave, after officers were called at about 13:10.

Killermont Street outside the station is closed to traffic and people have been urged to avoid the area. Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing.

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) apologised for the disruption and said passengers would be updated when the station reopens.
