A section of Mar-a-Lago insiders believe Donald Trump is absolutely annoyed with Elon Musk.
From 'First Buddy' who's always hanging out with Donal Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Elon Musk did not even take a month to become '
President Musk
' with his overbearing presence everywhere and according to reports, citing insiders, President-elect Donald Trump is 100 per cent annoyed with Elon Musk because "you are not family unless you are family".
“There’s a Chinese saying: ‘Two tigers cannot live on one mountaintop'," Mediaite quoted an insider commenting on the power struggle between Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
'President Musk'
There have been two major incidents triggering talks about who the real president is: first, the spending bill row and second, the H-1B visa program. Elon Musk made over 80 posts against a bipartisan bill made by Speaker Mike Johnson and urged the Republicans to not allow the bill to pass. After Elon Musk's social media storm, aided by Vivek Ramaswamy, Donald Trump and vice president-elect JD Vance issued a statement objecting to the spending bill. At the very last moment, a fresh bill was passed saving the country from going into a federal lockdown.
Donald Trump humorously addressed the speculations that Elon Musk was the actual president and said that Musk could not be the president as he was born in South Africa. “No, no. That’s not happening. He’s not gonna be president," Trump joked about Musk’s South African birthplace, adding, “You know why he can’t be [president]? He wasn’t born in this country."
Elon Musk also dismissed the speculations and called them an op to create a rift between him and Donald Trump.
MAGA split over H-1B
Then came the major H-1B row in which Elon Musk announced war on those Republicans who are against the expansion of the H-1B visa program. Elon Musk asked them to "f**k themselves in the face" because he said he is in the country because of H-1B program that allows US companies to hire skilled foreign workers.
Donald Trump put the row to rest after he said he also favored H-1B but insiders claimed he is annoyed.
“I mean the guy came in, gave a boatload of money, and wants to take over the place,” the insider said, adding they don’t think Musk has “bad intentions,” but “you also can’t just inject a shadow president somewhere.”
'Elon Musk is a character actor, a disruptor being used by Trump'
Another section, however, believes that Donald Trump is in control and that whatever happened in both controversies happened with the consent of the president-elect. “Musk is a character actor. There is only one executive producer, one lead in this TV show, and that is Trump. Elon will have his role, his focuses, but he is meant to disrupt the status quo in Washington and Trump is weaponizing him.” “The only one to move the MAGA movement is Trump,” they added. “Elon will be able to amplify the message.”
