In a post on social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), the Columbus police asked for information on the suspects's vehicle."Detectives need your help locating this vehicle involved in a shooting this morning in the 1100 blk of N. High St., where 10 people were shot. The vehicle is believed to be a white, 4-door Honda Civic with tinted windows," police said.
Mayor Andrew Ginther
addressed the situation on social media, urging citizens to share any information that could lead to accountability.
"The gun violence that occurred early this morning in the Short North is outrageous, it's unacceptable, and it must stop," he said.
Ginther also pressed for more measures from state and federal governments to prevent guns from reaching criminals. He called on parents to ensure they know their children's whereabouts and enforce curfews at home.
"Parents need to step up - to know where their kids and teens are, and to enforce a curfew in their homes," Ginther emphasized.
