The prime minister will meet with health secretary, and likely leadership rival Wes Streeting tomorrow, after the number of ministers who resigned in protest of his leadership grew to four.
They joined the 87 Labour MPs who have publicly called for Keir Starmer to step down after the party suffered heavy local election losses on 7 May.
But support for the PM has also been forthcoming, more than 100 MPs signed a statement in support of his leadership and David Lammy told reporters Starmer has his full support.
The prime minister told a cabinet meeting he wants to get on with the job.
