After years of planning and cooperation with authorities, Schoonschip became a reality. Today, it consists of 30 floating homes, including duplex houses. They are located in a former industrial canal area.Residents of Schoonschip share many systems. They operate joint heat pumps for heating and cooling. Solar panels cover about one-third of each roof.
