Jerry, a passenger on Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 from London to Singapore, described the moment the plane plunged as it went through severe turbulence. The flight was diverted to Bangkok and landed at 15:45 local time (08:45 GMT). Singapore Airlines said the flight experienced "sudden extreme turbulence" over Myanmar. A 73-year-old British man died, and seven people were seriously injured. Authorities at Bangkok airport said the man "likely" died from a heart attack.
