A large-scale manhunt remains underway for the three remaining fugitives, all of whom are considered violent offenders.According to the East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, the inmates were found missing around 1:20 am, triggering an immediate response involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The Louisiana State Police’s Monroe Field Office has taken the lead in locating and arresting the remaining escapees, while the sheriff’s office is conducting a separate investigation into how the jailbreak occurred. The inmates now back in custody have been identified as Savon Wheeler (31), Hugo Molino (27), Trenton Taplin (29), Kevin Slaughter Jr. (25), and Kolin Loney (21). Authorities said they were apprehended without further incident. The three fugitives still at large are Destin Brogan (22), Krisean Salinas (21), and Koplelon Vicknair (19). Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said her office has offered full assistance and remains in close coordination with local and state authorities. Sheriff Wydette Williams said law enforcement agencies are working “around the clock” to ensure public safety. The escape comes amid renewed scrutiny of jail security in Louisiana, following several high-profile breakouts in the state over the past year.
