Moment bright light trail streaks across New Zealand skyline

A bright streak of light was captured over New Zealand's capital city Wellington on 30 January.

The footage shows the streak reflected in the water below, filmed by a webcam at the Heretaunga Boating Club.

Reports suggest the event could be a meteor or space debris re-entering the atmosphere.
