JD Vance's cousin who fought for Ukraine calls Vice President 'Putin's useful idiots' for ambushing Zelenskyy

Vice President JD Vance led the White House showdown with Zelenskyy as he accused him of not being grateful to the US President.

Vice President

JD Vance

's cousin Nate Vance who volunteered to fight for Ukraine in 2022 spoke out against the White House treatment of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and what followed thereafter in the diplomatic relationships between the US and Ukraine. Disapproving of how his cousin 'ambushed' Zelenskyy, Nate Vance told French newspaper Le Figaro, "We are Vladimir

Putin's useful idiots

".
Nate Vance said when JD was criticizing

US aid to Ukraine

, he tried to convince himself that he was doing so "to please a certain electorate" and that it was just a game of politics. "But what they did to Zelenskyy was an ambush of absolute bad faith," Nate said.

JD Vance never contacted Nate to try to find out the truth about the war

A former US Marine, Nate volunteered for Ukraine's Da Vinci Wolves First Motorized Battalion after Russia's full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022. He fought in Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Pokrovsk and returned to the US from Ukraine to attend JD Vance's swearing-in as the vice president.
But JD never contacted him to find out the truth about the war, Nate said adding, "Being your family doesn't mean I'm going to accept you killing my comrades."
"I was disappointed. When JD justifies his distrust of Zelensky by the 'reports' he has seen, I thought I was going to choke," Nate said. "His own cousin was on the front lines. I could have told him the truth, without pretense, without personal interest. He never tried to find out more."
"Donald Trump and my cousin clearly believe they can placate Vladimir Putin. They are wrong. The Russians are not about to forget our support for Ukraine," Nate Vance added.

JD Vance 'chased by pro-Ukraine' protesters leaving his daughter anxious

JD Vance said because of his stance against Ukraine he was chased by pro-Ukraine protesters in Ohio's Cincinnati when he was out on a walk with his three-year-old daughter. Because of what he described as a chase, he said his daughter was anxious and scared. JD Vance said he decided to talk to the protesters and had a respectful conversation. However, his account was contradicted by the protesters who claimed that no one chased him. Vance was also slammed on social media for using his toddler as a 'human shield' to claim that he was being chased.
